How the Posticy Quality Score Works

The Posticy Quality Score helps you compare publishing websites using domain authority, traffic, performance on Posticy and price. It combines these signals into a score from 0 to 100.

Use it alongside the website’s topic, audience, language, country, content requirements and offered link attributes when choosing a placement. The score is a comparison aid and does not guarantee rankings, traffic or the outcome of an Order.

How to read the score

The Marketplace badge uses a 0 to 1 scale. For example, 0.70 means 70 out of 100. The full score and tier appear in the badge’s hover information.

  • 85 to 100: Elite
  • 70 to 84: Strong
  • 55 to 69: Solid value
  • 40 to 54: Experimental
  • 0 to 39: High risk

A tier summarises the available scoring signals. It does not replace your review of the website or mean that Posticy guarantees a placement.

The four parts of the score

Authority: up to 40 points

Authority uses Ahrefs Domain Rating (DR) and Moz Domain Authority (DA). DR contributes up to 25 points and DA up to 15. The contributions increase proportionally, reaching their maximum at DR 80 and DA 70.

If only one authority metric is available, it carries the Authority pillar. A value of zero is treated as missing for this calculation. If both are missing, the website cannot receive a score.

Traffic: up to 25 points

Traffic uses Ahrefs organic traffic and SimilarWeb visits. Ahrefs contributes up to 15 points and SimilarWeb up to 10, reaching their maximum at 500,000 and 1,000,000 visits respectively.

The calculation uses a logarithmic scale so that large websites do not dominate simply because of their size. Zero traffic contributes no points. If only one source is available, it carries the Traffic pillar.

Trust: up to 25 points

Trust reflects the website’s record on Posticy. It considers closed-order volume, Marketer ratings and delivery reliability, including successful and timely delivery and disputes.

  • Order volume: up to 10 points, reaching the maximum at 50 closed Orders.
  • Ratings: up to 10 points from Marketer ratings.
  • Reliability: up to 5 points.

New websites start with a neutral Trust baseline. As more Orders close, the actual record has more influence. Limited history is not treated as proof of poor performance. Orders still in progress and requests declined by the Publisher are excluded from the closed-order record.

Price: up to 10 points

Price compares the website’s placement price with the median price of comparable websites. Comparison groups use niche and DR band. When a group is too small, the comparison broadens to a larger group.

A price at the median receives a neutral contribution. A lower price can increase the Price contribution; a higher price can reduce it. Price accounts for only 10 of the total 100 points, so a low price alone cannot produce a high Quality Score.

Why scores can change

Scores can change when SEO metrics are refreshed, Orders reach relevant outcomes, Marketers rate placements or a website’s price changes. The comparison prices also update during full recalculations. A change may therefore reflect new data or a different comparison baseline.

Why a website may be Not scored

A website without usable DR or DA data cannot receive a Quality Score. An inactive website may retain its last score while no longer receiving updates.

What the score does not measure

The documented calculation does not include spam score, Moz Page Authority, backlink or referring-domain counts, SimilarWeb engagement figures, link type, language, country, the website’s age on Posticy or verification status.

Review these details separately where relevant. Website verification and administrator review still apply independently of the Quality Score.

For Publishers

Keep your website’s price and listing details accurate, meet accepted Order requirements and delivery times, and handle placement issues promptly. Your Posticy performance record contributes to Trust as Orders close. Buying visibility upgrades does not appear among the documented scoring inputs.
