Using Competitor Links in Your Project

Use Competitor Links in a Project to review available backlink information for competitors you have added. This is a research step: it does not automatically place links or create Orders.

Add competitors to your Project

  1. Open My Projects in your Marketer dashboard and find the relevant Project.
  2. Choose Edit on the Project card or use the edit icon beside the Project name.
  3. Find Competitors (optional). Enter the competitor domain or path you want to research. Use + Add Competitor to add up to three competitors.
  4. Save your changes and reopen the Project.

You can also add competitors when creating a Project. They are optional and can be added later. The Project website is the website you promote; competitor entries are separate research targets.

Open Competitor Links

  1. Open the intended Project from My Projects.
  2. Select the Competitor Links tab.
  3. Use the competitor selector to choose a competitor saved in that Project.
  4. Review the available information for that competitor before deciding which websites are relevant to your campaign.

Why is the competitor selector empty?

If the selector shows No results found, first check that you have added and saved a competitor in this particular Project. Adding a website as the Project URL does not add it as a competitor.

Check the selected Project, reopen its settings and confirm that the competitor entry was saved. If a saved competitor is available but no backlink information is displayed, do not assume that it has no backlinks. Contact support with the Project name, competitor domain or path, and a screenshot of the result. Data availability must be checked for the specific case.

Turn research into a placement

Competitor Links does not promise that every referring website is available on Posticy, that the same placement can be purchased, or that you will achieve the same search rankings.

To arrange a placement, open the Marketplace, assess the website's topic, audience, SEO metrics, price and publishing requirements, and follow the appropriate proposal or Offer Request workflow. Review the available Guest Post or Niche Edit option on each listing.

If you already have an article, you can add it manually to My Content. You do not have to order writing simply to arrange publication. A proposal becomes an Order on the relevant acceptance; the Publisher's placement fee is separate from Connects, Premium and any writing service.

Competitor Links and Links Monitoring

Competitor Links supports competitor research. Links Monitoring checks delivered placements associated with Posticy Orders. Adding a competitor does not create a monitored placement for your own website.
