Understanding Order Statuses for Marketers

A Proposal is pending until the relevant User accepts it. Acceptance creates a binding Order and automatically generates an invoice in the Publisher’s name. Payment is required before publication; it does not determine when the Order becomes binding.

Status guide

  • Requested: Your direct Proposal has been submitted for Publisher review. It is not yet a binding Order.
  • Accepted: The Publisher has accepted your direct Proposal. For an Offer Request, you create the Order by selecting Accept Proposal on a Publisher’s response. Pay the invoice directly to the Publisher before publication.
  • Rejected: The pending Proposal has been declined. Restoration of Connects follows the Connects guide.
  • In Progress: Payment has been confirmed and the Publisher works on the agreed publication.
  • Pending: The Publisher has officially delivered the published URL. Review the article, links, attributes, and other agreed requirements during the five-day review period.
  • Revision: You have requested corrections during review. Describe what does not meet the Order. Changes to the agreed scope require both Users’ agreement.
  • Completed: You have accepted completion, or the five-day review period has elapsed without an outstanding revision. This records workflow completion and does not remove ongoing publication obligations or rights to report defects.

Delivery and monitoring

Ask the Publisher to use the official delivery step rather than only posting a URL in chat. Weekly Backlink Monitor checks begin after official delivery of a placement arranged through Posticy. A monitoring status alone does not establish that every Order requirement has been met.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancelling a pending Proposal or Offer Request is different from cancelling a binding Order. Connects are restored only for the specified events in the Connects guide, not automatically for every failed or cancelled Order. Placement refunds are handled with the Publisher under your agreement and applicable law. Managed service remedies follow the separate managed-service provisions in the Terms.

Publication period and defects

Unless another period is agreed before acceptance, the Publisher must maintain the placement and agreed links for at least 12 months from first publication. If content is removed or agreed links or attributes change during that period, notify the Publisher through the Platform. The Publisher must respond and correct a defect within seven calendar days unless another deadline is agreed or correction would be unlawful. If correction is impossible, Users may agree a replacement or refund directly; a different-site replacement requires Marketer approval. These rights continue after an Order is marked Completed. See the Terms and Conditions.
